News/Media Club at DRHS
This year, our ever-evolving club has expanded the news crew to the addition of our film staff, editors, sports crew, and now new special programs such as Caroline and Madhuri in the morning. Our developed system reaches out and supports all Deep Run-related activity and more. We are always looking for new staff members during the beginning and end of the school year. Be on the lookout to join our news team!
Pre-Stream
Our mornings begin with our highly valued tech-staff prepping for the announcements by organizing club notices and information on our teleprompter and aligning it with visual graphics. Then, our head anchor sets up the studio for our anchors.
Live
As we air live the studio is quiet. Our "On Air" sign is lit outside the studio during this time. Those working the teleprompter and OBS system work quickly to keep up with the anchors. OBS controls what the school sees during announcements and the teleprompter operator controls the announcement script that the anchors see.
Post-Stream
After the live stream, we turn off the camera, lights, and computers. We make sure everything is put away for the next day and leave to go back to first period.
